Port Ferréol is located in the commune of Roquebrune-sur-Argens. Composed of a 6,000 m2 basin, the port can accommodate up to 130 ships afloat, ranging from 5 meters to 10 meters.
Friendly and perfectly equipped, this port is ideal for welcoming boaters during a pleasant stopover in the region. In addition, many facilities and services are available to travelers, such as access to water and electricity on the pontoons and quays, but also a slipway and a 24-hour security service. However, Port Ferréol only opens in the morning during the winter.
Port Ferréol is labeled Clean Ports. As a result, a program of actions is permanently implemented to protect the environment. Indeed, this begins with monthly monitoring of water and electricity consumption, but above all by raising awareness among boaters through the organization of cleaning days, as well as other important and effective monitoring to measure all types of pollution upstream.
In the 1950s, the cove of Port Ferréol provided a natural shelter for fishing boats. Ten years later, the first developments of Port Ferréol began. Around 1965, a quay was built to the south of the small beach.
In 1978, larger quays were built after the breakwater and two small jetties had been built. In 1981, the port's jetties multiplied and became longer.
In March 2012, the Navy's hydrographic and oceanographic service (SHOM) installed a tide gauge in Port Ferréol. This instrument makes it possible to measure and transmit sea level in real time and thus effectively observe the arrival of a possible tsunami, coming from the Ligurian Sea or the North African coast. The data is transmitted to the National Tsunami Warning Center (CENALT) via the Internet or by satellite with precision, thus making it possible to adjust numerical forecasts.
Furthermore, take advantage of your stay in the region to discover the breathtaking views offered by Les Issambres with its fine sandy beaches and magnificent coves.
On the coastal path, there is an incredible construction that appears under the water. It is a fishpond from the Gallo-Roman era in perfect condition.
A visit to Port Ferréol is also an opportunity to enjoy the waterfront restaurants and their traditional and Provençal specialties. Les Issambres is also a place to relax with family or friends, on the edge of a sunny terrace, where it is good to sip a cocktail.
Finally, there is no shortage of activities on site. From jet-skiing to parasailing to scuba diving... We rarely get bored, thanks to the multitude of activities offered by this beautiful region.
Throughout the year, Les Issambres is punctuated by numerous events for all tastes and all ages, such as guided tours, flea markets and even treasure hunts for the youngest.
